In this page, I answer questions that people sometimes have about getting their own moving picture tributes, including how the process works, what to do if you don’t have digital photos, what a tribute might cost, ordering additional copies, and so on. I even list a few alternative uses for moving picture DVDs!
If you have questions that aren’t answered here, you are welcome to contact me.
- What's the process? How do I order my own moving picture tribute?
Select the photographs that you would like to use. Choose a variety of your best pictures: close-ups, outdoors, on favorite furniture, with different people...
Contact me, and then mail the photographs (prints or CD) with your deposit. If you like, you can specify the order you would like the photos to be in, or I will use my best judgment. If you have special instructions, notes, sentiments, anything that would be helpful, write it down. The more you tell me, the easier it is for me to deliver a show that really reflects you and your feelings.
When I've created your show, I will send it and all of your photographic material to you by insured mail. Keep in mind that although I am extremely careful to keep your photos safe, I can't be held responsible for lost or damaged material. Don't send the only copies of your precious mementos!
- My photos aren’t digital. Can you create a tribute using them?
Yes. I can work with regular print photos, although an additional charge is necessary. I can also transform some photos that are 'less than perfect' into pictures that look great on your TV screen. Photo editing charges are extra.
It depends on how many photographs you want to use, how long you would like the show to be, whether you want narration, and whether I’ll need to scan or edit your photos. But unlike a video show, which could cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, I keep your costs low by using your own photographs. You can have your own moving picture tribute show starting at $149 + shipping.
Yes! Additional copies of your show are only $12.95 each + shipping, and they make great gifts for friends and family who love your pet too!
- I don't have a DVD player. Can I watch the show?
Yes. Let me know that when you place your order, and I can make a VHS (videotape) copy for you.
- Can a tribute be created for a person instead of a pet? Or a trip memento? Or for other events?
Of course! Although I specialize in pet tributes, the moving picture slide show format lends itself to many uses. Moving picture shows make great trip mementos, vacation souvenirs, family reunion or other event remembrances, and so on. Tributes are great for people as well as pets; a tribute can make a wonderful retirement gift, anniversary gift, or birthday gift for someone who has a full life with lots of photos and is difficult to buy for.
